I learned how to work before I learned how to ride a bike. That work ethic has helped me get through every challenge and shaped my approach to my life.

Growing up in Missouri, I spent my childhood trailing after my grandpa, learning the ins and outs of his four laundromats and fifty rental houses. By the time I was seven, I was helping fix appliances, rolling quarters, and gutting houses to get them ready for new tenants. My dad, who struggled with poor health, ran a cabinet shop. When I wasn’t with grandpa, I was in the woodshop building things or playing sports.

I’ve always been committed to my family. When I started college, I chose not to go to my preferred school and instead stayed closer to home so I could be there for my dad. At Missouri State University I started as an Animal Science major, then transferred to North Arkansas College to finish my Associate’s Degree. There, I met Kayla, a basketball player from a town not far from mine. We got to know each other through intramural sports and are now happily married.
It was her encouragement, along with my academic advisor, that convinced me to transfer to the University of Arkansas, where I had wanted to go all along. There, my advisor suggested I change degrees to Agricultural Education. My whole upbringing I was involved with FFA, played sports, and loved the agricultural industry as a whole. It was a great fit.
For six years I taught high school agriculture while Kayla and I built our lives together and started a family. Wanting to provide a great life for our family, I decided to earn my real estate license in 2018. At the time, it was a way to provide some extra income. Since I grew up around it, I was always interested in real estate and how it could be used to better people’s lives.

As I started to build up my business and learn about the industry, our family grew with our second child Nora. Around six months after she was born, we started doing therapies and realized she was going to need more care and support. She was eventually diagnosed with SATB2, a rare genetic condition. She is the 651st person in the world to have it. Like I said, family is everything to me. I was going to do everything in my power to help my wife and kids navigate this.
Real estate was the answer. I left my teaching career to go all-in. It gave me the opportunity to provide for my family while having a more flexible schedule to be there for my daughter. It was a lot of hard work and came with its fair share of uncertainty as we adjusted to a single commission-based income. But I believe God placed these moments in my life to make me stronger.

My work ethic made all the difference. I’ll always be grateful for my father and my grandfather who taught me the value in doing a job right. By being honest and upholding my commitment to my clients, I was able to build a reputation for trustworthy, reliable service. Kayla is able to stay home and take care of Nora, while also helping run our barndominum and shop business that we started with friends. I’m very proud of the business I’ve built and what it has meant for our family.

These days, my life revolves around my family, our farm, and real estate. We have four kids—Wylee, Nora, Wade, and Boone—ranging in age from 10 years old to just 4 months. My hobbies are whatever my kids are into: coaching their sports teams, serving on the school board, and working on the farm together. We run about ninety head of cattle, and my wife and kids keep goats and sheep for fun. Once a year, I take a Wyoming trip with friends, but otherwise, you’ll find me at a ball game, fixing fences, or doing real estate.
What sets me apart from other REALTORS® is my genuine honesty and the breadth of my background. I’m straightforward with clients about pricing; I won’t overinflate a number just to win a listing. I believe in being open and honest about what a property is truly worth and what the market will allow. My upbringing gave me hands-on experience in construction and property maintenance, thanks to years spent working with my grandpa on rental houses. I also have a degree in agriculture, which means I can walk through a property and assess its quality, from the land to the structure itself.
My clients benefit from my integrity and my practical knowledge. I pride myself on building relationships that lead to repeat and referral business. Additionally, being part of United Country gives my clients access to unique marketing avenues and nationwide exposure, especially for specialized properties like farms, ranches, and hunting land. Ultimately, I strive to take care of my clients by being honest, knowledgeable, and always putting their needs first.
Sincerely,
Kevin Sawyer
